Popular restaurant known for its Dutch cuisine and cozy atmosphere.

Moeders - Dutch for 'Mothers' - is a charming restaurant on the edge of the city centre, almost in Amsterdam West.

Décor

The decor of the restaurant is remarkable. From the very opening of the restaurant in 1990 Moeders started collecting pictures of mothers.

Every wall from floor to ceiling is covered with hundreds of photos of mothers, from all corners of the world... and the collection is still growing.

Terrace

The restaurant has an outdoor terrace facing the street, overlooking the bustling and welcoming street scene of Amsterdam's Jordaan district.

On the menu

The menu features all the Dutch classics from rabarber (rhubarb) to stamppot (seasonal stew with meatballs). Guests can compose their own 3-course menu (starter + main course + desert) for a fixed price of €26.50 to €30.50.

Traditional Dutch food dishes: Erwtensoep (Green pea soup), Stamppot (Hotchpotch), Spare ribs, Suddervlees (typical Dutch stewed beef with boiled patotoes and red cabbage), Hachée (Beef stew with onions).

If you can't make a choice you could opt for the 'Dutch Rice Dish' (Hollandse Rijsttafel), a menu of little bits and pieces of traditional Dutch home cooking specialities.
