Housed in a former 19th-century bank (and later Amsterdam's former Sweelinck music conservatorium*) building, the Conservatorium Hotel is the perfect base for sightseeing trips, visiting museums and shopping.
Conservatorium Hotel is located in Amsterdam’s famous fashion and museum district, close to the Rijksmuseum, Concertgebouw and Vondelpark.
* The hotel pays tribute to the Amsterdam Conservatorium's legacy by playing soothing classical music selections throughout the hotel.
The hotel lobby is in an internal courtyard with a glass roof top ceiling, connected to one of the building's wings by an angular, steel staircase. Fig and olive trees form part of an indoor garden.
Italian interior designer and architect Piero Lissoni created an atrium with natural daylight throughout the building's airy spaces.
The Conservatorium has a modern underground spa and gym, where there are treatment rooms, a state-of-the-art indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and hammam.
