Rijks' beautiful terrace in the shade of the Rijksmuseum

Museum restaurant Rijks focusses on Dutch produce and wines.

The majority of ingredients that is used, is grown on Dutch soil. In addition to international wines, Rijks offers a special list of Dutch wines on a pedestal and great wines produced by Dutch winemakers or vineyard owners.

Décor

The interior is clean, fresh and vibrant. The beautiful building and entrance exude luxury and comfort; light and acoustics are perfect, the atmosphere is pleasantly informal and guests can look straight into the open kitchen watching the chefs preparing dishes.

Terrace

From mid May and weather permitting, Rijks serves lunch and/or dinner on their beautiful terrace in the shade of the Rijksmuseum.

On the menu  

The menu changes regularly. The lunch menu consists of 4 courses. For dinner, guests can choose from a 6-course menu, platters or à la carte.

Sample dishes: Zeeland creuse oysters, Celeriac, Slow cooked cod, Venison, Turbot, Cocao wafer.

Reservation

Make your table reservation online  via Rijks's official site. For all reservations a deposit of €25 per person is required. This deposit will be deducted from the final bill.

Location

Fine-dining restaurant Rijks is located within the Rijksmuseum - one of the world's most important museums with a unique collection of Rembrandt, Vermeer, Hals and other Dutch Masters - on Museumplein (Museum Square) in city district Zuid.
