The owners of the Breitner House, a well-known Dutch actress and director, created an elegant boutique-style bed and breakfast opposite the Oosterpark in Amsterdam's eastern part. They transformed part of their house into 2 beautiful suites, reflecting the romantic atmosphere of the 1800s.
A night at the Breitner House is not cheap: from 435 euros you can stay in one of the elegant suites, but that includes champagne. Every morning a luxurious champagne breakfast is being served in the classic dining room with a view on the park.
Rooms
The Breitner House has 2 large, classically decorated suites: George Breitner suite (80m2 / 861 ft2) and Isaac Israels suite (70m2 / 753 ft2).
Both rooms have authentic ornaments, big Italian chandeliers, canopies made from the finest linen, and antique furnishings. They have spacious bathrooms with a bath tub and separate shower.
Location
From the Breitner House guests have a view on the beautiful English landscape style Oosterpark, the first large park laid out by the municipality of Amsterdam in 1891. Within walking distance are a number of interesting sites, like the Tropical Museum, Hortus Botanicus, the 19th century Artis Zoo, and the old Jewish Quarter with the stunning Portuguese Synagogue and Jewish Historical Museum.
