Fast, affordable and good food.
Nam Kee* is the place for good eating and fast service, both in an authentic Chinese way. The restaurant's many Chinese visitors are a testimony to Nam Kee's authentic Cantonese kitchen.
A true family business, the restaurant is run by the 2 sons of the founder, who started the restaurant in 1981.
* means 'Friend of Nam', named after the restaurant's founder Nam Chan
Quirky but fast service
The food is served fast by rigorous old ladies and the quality is outstanding.
Don't linger after your last bite. If you wait too long without leaving, you will be stared at, glared at and finally commanded to leave.
The Zeedijk restaurant was always known for being a white tile palace but the interior has recently been restyled.
The basic interior with its white tiles and neon lighting has been replaced by a more fancy look. This makes the restaurant look very dark.
