Gordal offers several tapas and authentic Spanish cuisine combined with local wines, beers and homemade sangria. Many dishes are inspired by the Basque cuisine in northern Spain.
The restaurant is open to both hotel guests and visitors from outside. At the end of the evening the restaurant turns into a cozy bar.
On the menu
Calamares a la Andaluza (Fried squid rings 'Andaluz style'), El Cortijo (Iberian pork rib, braised in white wine and honey), Time Raf Marino (fruits de mer), Patatas bravas (Spanish potatoes with Brava sauce), Hueva de oca con patatas y trufa negra (Potatoes with a goose egg and shaved truffle).
Besides the regular menu, the Spanish chief cook of Gordal also offers a monthly dish from a specific Spanish region.
Location
The restaurant is situated inside the Element Amsterdam hotel and is located on the lively Zuidas, a rapidly developing business district in the south of Amsterdam, and integrated into shopping mall Gelderlandplein.
