In summer, IJscuypje serves some of the best homemade ice cream in Amsterdam.
IJscuypje is both an ice cream parlor as well as ice cream maker. In 2007 the company started its first small shop nearby Albert Cuyp Market. IJscuypje nowadays has 14 selling points in and around Amsterdam.
IJscuypje Middenweg in Amsterdam Oost
IJscuypje produces and sells ice cream, sorbet, and frozen yogurt. The cream and frozen yogurt is prepared in the ice cream shops themselves, while the sorbet - which consists of 60% pure fruit - is made in IJscuypje's central kitchen.
Dutch speciality flavors
IJscuypje's ice cream comes in several popular flavors (vanilla, hazelnut, chocolate and pistachio) as well as several flavors of Dutch specialities that are specific to the brand, like: elderberry and rhubarb sorbet, ice cream with raisins (boerenjongens), apple pie (appeltaart) with real pieces of apple pie in it, and Dutch almond cookies (bokkenpootjes), and macaroons (bitterkoekjes).
