Gebroeders Niemeijer is a traditional French bakery where you can have your breakfast or lunch. It is located in a beautiful historic building with a beautiful Art Deco ceiling.

Breakfast and lunch spot

The lunch consists of bread and delicious cheeses, Mediterranean salads and soups. The baguettes and special breads are formed by hand and French stone baked. Throughout the day crisp bread is baked in a large brick kiln, without artificial additives. The only ingredients are sourdough, sea salt and water.

On the menu

Freshly baked baguettes with farmer cheese, gruyere, mozzarella, brie and chevre. For lunch you can also have sardines, paté, lightly smoked wild salmon and salad with bread.

The old fashioned looking bakery is run by the 2 brothers Niemeijer. Downstairs you can have a look into the bakery and you can see how the bread and pastries are baked.

Location

Gebroeders Niemeijer is at an unexpected location in the extension of shopping street Nieuwendijk, between Martelaarsgracht and Singel, and not far from Centraal Station. It is a hidden gem among the coffeeshops and lurching tourists.
