With almost every night of the week live music by rock, soul, funk or blues (cover) bands the Maloe Melo bar is a well-established, but still niche place in the city.
Mainly musicians and young people visit the place. This illustrious blues café already exists for almost 40 years.
On the walls are signed photos of artists and bands who performed at Maloe Melo. It is a place where many musicians played their first notes, but also legends like Bruce Springsteen, Joe Cocker, Jeff Healey, Willy DeVille, Patti Smith and Herman Brood had been on stage here.

Maloe Melo is located in the Jordaan neighbourhood, slightly off the beaten tourist track on the edge with Amsterdam Oud-West. It is within walking distance of Leidseplein.
