In tulip season flower lovers can take a coach trip to Keukenhof, world's largest flower garden dedicated to tulips.
Keukenhof is open annually from the last week of March to mid-May. Tulips usually bloom between late April and the middle of May. The safest bet for hitting peak tulip time is around mid-April.
The easiest way to get to the Keukenhof Gardens from Amsterdam is to take the direct Bus 852 (Keukenhof Express) from metro station RAI Amsterdam.
The Arriva bus organization (a national transportation system, not a tour company) offers a "Combi Ticket" from RAI that includes a 35- to 40-minute bus ride plus the entrance fee to the Keukenhof, which totals € 30.
The bus runs 8 times an hour and drops you off at Keukenhof's main entrance. See the Keukenhof website for more information.
