Keukenhof Gardens
the most beautiful spring garden in the world
In tulip season flower lovers can take a coach trip to Keukenhof, world's largest flower garden dedicated to tulips. Trips can be booked from companies on the Damrak, or take the train to Leiden, and then bus 54 (Keukenhof Express).
Best time to visit

Keukenhof is open annually from the last week of March to mid-May. Tulips usually bloom between late April and the middle of May. The safest bet for hitting peak tulip time is around mid-April.
Best way to get to Keukenhof Gardens from Amsterdam
The easiest way to get to the Keukenhof Gardens from Amsterdam is to take the direct bus from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The Connexxion bus organization (a national transportation system, not a tour company) offers a "Combi Ticket" from Schiphol that includes a 35- to 40-minute bus ride plus the entrance fee to the Keukenhof, which totals € 19.
You can buy your tickets from the Amsterdam Tourist Information Offices (called "VVV" offices) for Bus 58 from Schiphol direct to the gardens. The buses leave every 15 minutes from the second island outside the arrivals-level entrance at the airport. See the Keukenhof website for more information.
