Noordermarkt
beautiful square dominated by the Northern Church
Noordermarkt is a busy and cosy place on Saturdays and Mondays when a market for organic food (De Boerenmarkt) and a flea market are held.
The picturesque square is dominated by the Noorderkerk (Northern Church, 1620-1623) and lined by cafés and restaurants. The square borders the Prinsengracht (Prince's Canal), one of Amsterdam's main canals.

Flea Market
Every Monday morning from 9am to 1pm a great flea market is held in front of Noorderkerk in the famous Jordaan quarter. You can find here antique furniture, old books, records, hats, curiosa, piles of second-hand clothing, but also unused goods from shop closures.
Organic Farmer's Market
On Saturday (from 9am to 4pm) you will find at the foot of Noorderkerk 'De Boerenmarkt', a biological food market, offering fresh ecological products. You can find organic fruits and vegetables, oils, herbs, candles and so on.
Patch Market
Also every Monday morning from 9am to 1pm Lapjesmarkt (Patch Market) is held on Westerstraat, around the corner from Noordermarkt. This s a pleasant, cozy street market where fabrics, leather and tools for making clothes are sold.
