What means P+R?

P+R stands for Parkeren en Reizen (Park and Ride) and are multi-storey car parks in Amsterdam. You park your car at a P+R location on the outskirts of the city and travel into town by public transport.

Important conditions of P+R!

  • Enter on weekdays after 10 am* (there are no time restrictions in the weekend)
  • Maximum parking time is 96 hours
  • Make sure to check in your P+R chip card ticket on your inward and outward public transport trip and don't forget to check out when exiting the vehicle.
* If you enter before 10 am on a weekday you will have to pay €8 per 24 hours.
