Amsterdam is surrounded by the ring road A10. The S-routes indicate the city routes that guide motorists into the city centre. Each exit of the ring road A10 is numbered, from S101 to S118. The S-routes offer automobile traffic the fastest and most direct way into the city.

Parking in Amsterdam

The easiest and cheapest way to park your car in Amsterdam is parking at one of the P+R locations on the outskirts of the city, and travel into town by a fast public transport connection for free.

Car Parks

Parking spaces in the centre of Amsterdam are limited in number and you must remember to feed the meter. Several parking garages are located in the vicinity.
Note that parking in a car park can be very expensive. The price for a day in a parking garage in Amsterdam could be as high as € 80.

On-street Parking

The rate of parking on-street in Amsterdam is between € 1.40 per hour (suburbs) and € 5 per hour (center).

P+R = Park and Travel

Park your car in one of the P+R locations and continue your journey on public transport. It's cheap and easy. Parking in a P+R car park costs only € 8 per 24 hours and includes public transport to the centre of Amsterdam.
